Tempe reported the following incidents Sunday:
- A 42-year-old man was arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of credit card theft and failing to register as a sex offender, police reported.
Police contacted the man near College Avenue and Guadalupe Road because authorities had a felony warrant for the man, according to the police report.
While searching the man, police found a stolen credit card in his wallet, police reported.
He was booked into Tempe City Jail and held for transfer to a Maricopa County jail.
- A 38-year-old transient woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon near McClintock Drive and Apache Boulevard on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking stolen property, police reported.
Police arrested the woman because of an outstanding warrant from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for reportedly trafficking stolen property, according to the police report.
While searching the woman, police found a syringe with a liquid inside believed to be used for ingesting methamphetamine, police reported.
She was booked and held to see a judge.
- A 30-year-old Tempe man was arrested early Tuesday afternoon near Loop 101 and Guadalupe Road on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police reported.
During a welfare check of the man’s residence, several items of drug paraphernalia were in plain view, according to the police report.
Additionally, authorities found a usable quantity of marijuana inside of his residence, police reported.
He was booked into Tempe City Jail.
- A 27-year-old Litchfield Park man was arrested early Wednesday morning near Litchfield Road and Glendale Avenue in Glendale on suspicion of armed robbery, police reported.
According to the police report, the man used a gun on Tuesday evening to rob a fast food restaurant near Baseline Road and Mill Avenue.
The man allegedly stole $860 from the business by threatening its employees with the gun, police reported.
He fled in a vehicle that was later recovered, and he was contacted when he attempted to report the vehicle as stolen, according to the police report.
He was positively identified by victims of the armed robbery in three photo lineups, police reported.
The man was arrested and held to see a judge.
