Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:
- A 29-year-old male Mexican resident was arrested on suspicion of drug possession 10:30 p.m. Thursday near Rural and Baseline roads, according to a police report.
Police discovered a stash of what was believed to be 4.5 ounces of methamphetamine in a secret compartment inside the dash of the man’s vehicle, police reported.
Nearly $1,000 in cash was also found in the man’s possession, along with 29 separate prepackaged baggies of the illegal substance, according to the report.
The man’s car was impounded and he was booked into Tempe City Jail.
- A 39-year-old Chandler man was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Thursday on suspicion of forgery at the Best Buy on 1900 E. Rio Salado Parkway, according to a police report.
The man tried to apply for a Best Buy credit card using a fraudulent Arizona driver’s license, police reported.
The man admitted the license was fake, and he was taken and booked into Tempe City Jail, police reported.
- A 31-year-old Mesa man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated DUI on the 2100 block of East Broadway Road Friday at 2 a.m., according to a police report.
Officers pulled the man over after he weaved in and out of his lane, police reported. A Breathalyzer revealed a .122 percent blood alcohol level, according to the report. The man was also driving on a suspended license and found in possession of a marijuana cigarette and drug paraphernalia, police reported.
He was booked into Tempe City Jail and will be released pending drug charges.
