Tempe police reported the following incidents Sunday:

  • A 26-year-old California man was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery around 10 p.m. Thursday, according to a police report.

    The suspect forcibly entered a home in the 100 block of West Fifth Street and threatened a man with a baseball bat, police reported.

    He then demanded the man’s wallet and other valuables, according to the report.

    The suspect was arrested and held in Tempe City Jail, police reported.

  • A 22-year old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs and suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia near the 7500 block of South Rural Road, according to a police report.

    The man had a baggie containing methamphetamine and a bag containing a glass pipe with drug residue in it, according to the report.

    The man was taken to Tempe City Jail, police reported.

  • A 31-year-old Phoenix man was arrested on suspicion of drug possession Friday around 11 p.m., police reported.

    After being pulled over for a nonfunctioning license-plate light, police smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to a police report.

    A search revealed a baggie of marijuana and a .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol, according to the report.

    He was booked and held in Tempe City Jail, police reported.

    The passenger, who was the driver’s brother, was booked and his release was pending, police reported.

  • A 20-year-old man was arrested near Carter Drive and Judd Street in Tempe around 6 a.m. Friday on suspicion of burglarizing a black Mercedes-Benz, according to a police report.

    A witness positively identified the suspect as the man who burglarized the vehicle, police reported. A search revealed the man removed a pair of sunglasses, an electric power cord, a small bottle of cologne and sweatshirt, according to the report.

    A records check revealed the city of Mesa had a warrant out for the man’s arrest, police reported.

    The man was held in Tempe City Jail, police reported.
