Tempe police reported the following incidents Sunday:

A 23-year-old Tempe man was arrested Friday on suspicion of an outstanding warrant, according to a police report.
Police arrested the man at West Carter Drive, just west of South Mill Avenue and found a usable amount of marijuana in his front left pocket, police reported.
The man was taken to Tempe City Jail and later released, police reported.

A 56-year-old man was arrested Friday on suspicion of theft, police reported.
The man unlawfully entered a residential backyard at the 2000 block of East Maryland Drive in Tempe and removed a motorized weed trimmer with an estimated value of $125 from the backyard, according to a police report.
An investigation revealed the man planned to return later for the weed trimmer but was discovered by the home’s residents, police reported. The owners knew the man and confronted him. The man then fled the scene without the trimmer, police reported.
He was later arrested at 2000 block of East Victory Drive and identified by the residents, police reported.
He was taken to Tempe City Jail and booked, police reported.

A 33-year-old man was arrested Friday on suspicion of burglary, police reported.
Tempe police arrested the man on the southwest corner of East Southern Avenue and South Gilbert Road on suspicion of third-degree burglary, police reported.
The initial burglary occurred at the 600 block of West 24th Street in Tempe on Nov. 16. An investigation revealed he was the suspect in the surveillance video, police reported.
He was taken to Tempe Jail, police reported.

A 20-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Friday after police found the man with an open container of beer and discovered he had two confirmed warrants for his arrest, according to a police report.
Police made contact with the man at 1600 block of East University Drive and advised him that drinking in public is illegal, police reported.
Dispatch then advised the officers of the man’s arrest warrants, police reported.
A search revealed a glass pipe smelling of marijuana in the man’s left-front pocket and a pill bottle filled with marijuana in his front-right pocket, police reported.
He was taken to Tempe City Jail, police reported.
