- A 33-year-old Phoenix man was arrested near University Drive and Mill Avenue on suspicion of one count of burglary from the Circle K at 119 E. University Drive, according to police reports.
An investigation reportedly revealed that the man entered the Circle K, walked behind the cash register counter and grabbed a 750-ml bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey.
The man then left the store without attempting to buy the bottle of alcohol, police reported. An employee told police that he told the man he was not allowed to take merchandise from behind the counter, but the man did not reply, police reported.
The man then fled the store with the Jack Daniel’s in hand. He was later found by a police officer and identified by the employee, police reported.
The man was booked into Tempe City Jail where he will be held to see a judge.

The vehicle was reportedly stolen from Chandler earlier this month. Police found the vehicle on the 1400 block of North Broadway Road. Investigation led police to the man, who admitted knowing that the vehicle was stolen, police reported.
The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge.
Further investigation revealed the man was in possession of seven fake $100 bills, police reported. The man later reportedly admitted that he knew the bills were fake. He faces charges related to the bills as well, aiding and abedding, police reported.
Four men were arrested on suspicion of one count each of illegal discharge of a firearm on the 1100 block of West 19th Street early Wednesday morning, according to police reports.
