Tempe police reported the following incidents Sunday:

  • A 35-year-old middle school teacher was arrested at a Chandler school Wednesday in connection with child-molestation charges, according to Tempe police reports. He could face three counts of child molestation and one count of sexual misconduct with a minor.

    The Tempe man was arrested after investigations led police to believe he had molested his 10-year-old daughter, police reported.

    The suspect is a teacher at Anderson Junior High School in Chandler.

    The man admitted to touching his daughter inappropriately at on two separate occasions while she was visiting him in July, police reported.

    The man was taken to Tempe City Jail where he was held to see a judge.

  • A 28-year-old Mesa woman was arrested on suspicion of using another woman’s identity in order to get a job at the Target at Rio Salado Parkway and McClintock Drive in Tempe, according to police reports.

    The suspect was booked into the Tempe City Jail where she was held to see a judge. She could face one count of identity theft.

    The suspect used the maiden name and Social Security number of another woman between July and October, police reported.

    The woman was identified using the store’s video surveillance.

    The woman provided twod documents that she paid $170 for in order to be hired by Target, according to police reports.

  • Police arrested a 24-year-old Tempe man in suspicion of possession of illegal drugs and identity theft, according to police reports.

    Police found a usable amount of cocaine and stolen ID and documents at the suspect’s home, police reported.

    The man was contacted prior to police entry and consented to allow police to search his Tempe residence, police reported.

    The man said he bought the ID for $180 and used it to get a job illegally. He was working at Pita Jungle at the time of the arrest, according to police reports.

    The man was taken to Tempe City Jail and is pending release on drug-related charges.

  • A 24-year-old Tempe man was arrested Friday on suspicion of urinating in public, illegal possession of marijuana and drug-related paraphernalia, according to police reports.

    The man was contacted while smoking a marijuana cigarette. The man admitted to police it was marijuana, police reported.

    Police discovered a Tempe warrant in the man’s name when they ran the suspect’s name through the system.

    The suspect was booked in Tempe City Jail and his release is pending on the warrant.
