Tempe police reported the following incidents Friday:

  • A 64-year-old male was arrested Thursday on suspicion of stealing property from a residence where he was living, police reported.

The stolen property was valued at over $10,000, taken between June 24 and July 1, according to police reporters.

The man admitted to taking the property without the victim’s permission and later selling them to a pawnshop, police reported.

  • A 21-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Thursday on suspicion of shoplifting, police reported.

She was seen concealing a pair of jeans valued at $49.99 under her shirt and clothing valued at $183.93 under a bag inside of a stroller, according to police reports.

The suspect walked “past all points of sale making no attempt to pay for the items,” police reported.

She was transported to Tempe City Jail and later transported to county jail on a previous warrant for possession of narcotics, according to police reports.
