Tempe police reported the following incident Monday:
- A 24-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon on the 1800 block of Elliot Road on suspicion of robbery, police reported.
The man was accused of removing a pair of Nike sneakers from the feet of a 12-year-old boy at a McClintock Drive and Elliot Road bus stop, according to the police report.
Minutes after the suspected incident, police located the man in a neighboring parking lot with the shoes in his possession, police reported.
He was arrested on one count of forced robbery and released from the Tempe City Jail, according to the police report.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Saturday:
- Two Tempe men and one Tempe woman, ages 22, 23 and 24, respectively, were arrested on suspicion of possessing dangerous drugs on Saturday night, police reported.
Police responded to a call about a fight and learned that one man’s girlfriend was assaulting him after learning he was ingesting mushrooms, according to the police report.
Police investigated the suspicion of dangerous drugs and mushrooms were found in the apartment, police reported.
Police contacted the man’s two roommates and learned they were aware of the narcotics in the household, according to the police report.
The roommates, a man and a woman, were also arrested on suspicion of possessing dangerous drugs, police reported.
All three were booked at the Tempe City Jail and later released pending, according to the police report.
- A 19-year-old man was arrested on the 300 block of South Rural Road Saturday night on suspicion of possessing counterfeit currency, police reported.
Investigation revealed that he was in possession of three false $5 bills, according to the police report.
The man was booked at the Tempe City Jail and released with a possession of forged instrument charge, police reported.
Tempe police reported the following incident Friday:
- A 20-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery at the intersection of Mill Avenue and Palmcroft Drive early Friday morning, police reported.
The man is suspected of pointing a gun at a male victim and stealing his wallet and cell phone, according to the police report.
The man is also suspected of ties to two other robberies in Phoenix and Mesa that happened during the same hour Friday morning, according to the police report.
The victim identified the suspect and he was booked on a count of armed robbery at the Tempe City Jail, police reported.
