A few years ago I called out Brett Favre for hanging on for too long. I said he was just damaging his legacy by coming back year after year to a subpar Packers team, and questioned his abilities to keep them competitive.

Line me up to eat crow, because I was dead wrong about title town's golden boy.

After another debated decision to return this season, Favre now has the Packers at 4-0 and just passed Dan Marino for the NFL career passing touchdowns record.

But perhaps Favre's most impressive achievement is that fact that he's still never missed a start, an incredible feat for any athlete in any sport.

And after all of the on and off field adversity he's faced, after 17 seasons in the NFL and at almost 38 years of age, the man clearly still has it.

So Brett, play as long as you want. Your time hasn't passed just yet.
