From the Editor: Goodbye

Seeing as this is the last issue of the summer edition of The State Press, I felt like I'd take this opportunity, and space, to say adieu.

During the past few months that I've overseen the paper, I've tried my best to produce a solid paper for the poor souls on campus during summer.

Hopefully I've in some small fashion accomplished that goal and the paper has served its same purpose that it does during the school year.

It wasn't always easy, especially working with Tara Brite.

But despite the smaller staff and being a weekly instead of a daily, I still feel like we did some great work.

From coverage of the Loren Wade trial to the ASU baseball team in the College World Series, I felt like we didn't miss a beat.

And if you disagree, that's fine, because it's all over now anyways.

But in all honesty, I'd like to thank my staff for putting up with me, from telling Andrea Bloom what to take photos of an hour before we go to print, to Dan O'Connor and Tara not knowing what to write until a few days before.

And of course Devin Hicks for providing the sports - even if I did disagree with half his Devil Dishes.

Last but not least, the columnists, the Web Devil crew, our production and advertising folk and everyone else I'm forgetting - thanks for all your hard work as well.

Good luck to Kristi Eaton, I've left some pretty big shoes to fill.

Best,

Matt Stone
