For a no-frills happy hour with good deals and good fun, Horse and Hound Sports Grill in Tempe is tops. For sports bar atmosphere, the bar's motto of "Bets, booze and debauchery" sums it up well. The happy hour features typical beers and fried excellence, but the deals are superb - $1.50 domestic brews, $2 well drinks, and uber-cheap grub from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. None of the appetizers are new culinary creations - the zucchini sticks are about as creative as it gets - but they are tasty and effective as happy-hour junk food.
