Tempe police reported the following incidents Tuesday:
A 59-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Tuesday afternoon on the 900 block of East Broadway Road on charges of shoplifting.
The man allegedly concealed two 24-oz. cans of Steel Reserve Beer down the front of his pants and then put his untucked shirt over his pants as he left the store.
He reportedly admitted to concealing one of the cans.
Each can had a value of $1.39.
The man had no identification and was taken to Tempe City Jail and booked, police reported.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
A 39-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Wednesday morning on the 1700 block of East Apache Boulevard on charges of third-degree trespassing.
The woman allegedly refused to leave the property after being asked to do so four times by a store clerk and three times by police.
She reportedly told police, "Go ahead and trespass me," after she received the officer's third warning.
She was booked into Tempe City Jail, police reported.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:
A 24-year-old West Palm Beach, Fla., woman was arrested in a motor vehicle Thursday evening on charges of prostitution. A 40-year-old Scottsdale man, who was in the vehicle with the woman, was arrested on charges of solicitation of prostitution.
The woman allegedly told police she agreed to have sex with the man for $80.
The man reportedly did not confirm this.
Both were transported to Tempe City Jail, police reported.
A 26-year-old Guadalupe man was arrested on the 6000 block of South Priest Road Thursday morning on charges of shoplifting.
The man allegedly admitted to removing three bottles of shampoo from a shelf at CVS Pharmacy, 1424 W. Baseline Road, and concealing the bottles.
The man reportedly was confronted by several of the drugstore's employees who watched him conceal the bottles.
When the man was confronted, he returned the shampoo to the shelf and then fled from the store on foot, employees reportedly told police.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, police reported.
A 38-year-old Surprise man was arrested Thursday evening at Mill Avenue and Alameda Drive and charged with drug possession.
The man was pulled over in his vehicle, and a records check revealed he had a valid Mesa felony warrant for possession of dangerous drugs, according to a police report.
Police reportedly searched his vehicle and found a useable amount of marijuana, a glass meth pipe and a marijuana pipe in the vehicle's center console.
The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending the drug charges, police reported.
