ASU police reported the following incidents Friday:
An 18-year-old male ASU student was arrested Thursday morning at Adelphi Commons on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol.
The student entered Adelphi Commons and was carrying a brown paper bag, police reported.
Police stopped him and said his breath had a strong odor of alcohol.
He was reportedly unable to stand up straight without swaying back and forth. A 40-ounce can of Natural Light beer was in the bag, police reported.
When asked how he entered Adelphi, he said a woman let him in the outside gate, police reported.
A woman spoke to police and reportedly confirmed she let him in.
An 18-year-old male ASU student reported a theft Thursday evening at Physical Science Building A.
The student allegedly left his skateboard in the hallway of the building at about 4 p.m. to take a test.
He told police the testing center does not allow students to bring personal items in the testing room.
At about 5 p.m., he finished the test and discovered his skateboard was missing from the hallway, police reported.
The skateboard has a large number nine and a large red grenade sticker.
There are no leads at this time.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Friday:
A 22-year-old Mesa man was arrested Friday morning on the 600 block of South Hardy Drive on charges of attempted theft of means of transportation.
The man was found in the driver's seat of a 1991 Nissan 240, which was not his car, police reported.
He allegedly said he was going to steal the car to drive home because the buses had stopped running.
A 19-year-old Chandler woman was arrested Thursday evening at Urban Outfitters, at 545 S. Mill Ave., on charges of shoplifting.
The woman set off theft sensors while leaving the store and employees found three shirts, which had not been paid for, in her bag, police reported.
She allegedly attempted to flee the store and was detained by police.
A 40-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Thursday morning on the 100 block of East Fifth Street on charges of embezzlement.
The man, while working at Bisadora, a fashion company specializing in handbags, sent 11 electronic company checks to his own bank account, totaling $28,753, between June 1 and Oct. 12, police reported.
He reportedly admitted to the theft.
A 29-year-old Tempe man was arrested Friday morning on the 500 block of South Mill Avenue on charges of public urination.
The man was seen urinating in public outside, police reported.
He said the bar was closed and he "had to go."
