The No. 3 ASU women's golf team lit up the scoreboard at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown like a slot machine after Monday's opening round.
ASU's consistent play on day one saw all five players in the lineup shoot 75 or better.
An entire team effort has put the Sun Devils next to Oklahoma State atop the leaderboard at 4-over-par.
With the return of sophomore Azahara Munoz and true freshman Anna Nordqvist to the lineup, ASU was able to make an important statement on the tournament's first day.
Munoz led the squad with an even par 72, and freshman teammates Juliana Murcia and Nordqvist added 73s.
The Sun Devils have all five players within six shots of the individual lead, including sophomore Jennifer Osborn, who posted a 4-over-par 74, and junior Camila Sola one shot behind her.
All of them are trailing Oklahoma State's Sarah Bradley, who leads the tournament at 3-under-par.
Bradley's blistering start helped her team get on top of the leaderboard.
UNLV's Natasha Krishna used her local knowledge to post a 2-under-par 70, one shot off the lead.
Both ASU and Oklahoma State will be looking to distance themselves from the field tomorrow, considering six other teams are only five strokes behind.
With the team playing at such a high level, ASU will try to cash out in Vegas with a tournament win.
