Police Beat: Man urinates on movie theater wall


Tempe police reported the following incidents Monday:

A 36-year-old Gilbert man was arrested Monday morning at the Arizona Mills mall, 5000 S. Arizona Mills Circle, and charged with urinating in public. The suspect allegedly urinated against a wall inside a movie theater. A witness told police he could hear a liquid hitting the wall as he watched the suspect stand with his feet apart and his hands in front of him. A wet spot could be seen on the wall, police said.

A 28-year-old transient man was arrested Friday night at Jack in the Box, 721 S. Mill Ave., and charged with disorderly conduct. The suspect allegedly used profanity when speaking to restaurant employees. He reportedly asked the workers, "Where the f--- is my food?" The suspect had been contacted 30 minutes earlier for yelling on the corner of Sixth Street and Mill Avenue, police said.

A 22-year-old transient woman was arrested Sunday night on the 4100 block of South Mill Avenue and charged with assault. The suspect allegedly threw a rock at her ex-boyfriend's back during an argument. The rock was between 6 and 7 inches long, police said.

A 24-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning at Circle K, 505 W. Guadalupe Road, and charged with disorderly conduct and four counts of threatening and intimidating. The suspect allegedly approached a vehicle parked in the Circle K parking lot and threatened the occupants with a knife. Police reportedly arrived just as the driver of the vehicle was trying to pull away.

A 23-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Sunday morning on the 1200 block of West Seventh Street and charged with aggravated assault. The suspect was reportedly swinging a box cutter recklessly during a party. He cut two people, police said. The suspect was "extremely intoxicated," police reported.
