From staff reports:
The ASU track team defended the desert as they turned in a commanding performance this weekend.
In all, ASU notched seven victories and 26 top-three finishes in the ASU Invitational at Sun Angel Stadium.
Thirteen of the marks for the Sun Devils were also good enough to qualify for the NCAA regionals.
Latosha Wallace led the women's side as she qualified for regionals with her 400-meter hurdle victory.
She then anchored the 4x400m relay event where the Sun Devils broke the meet record with their victory.
The men took home three titles of their own.
Domenik Peterson and Kelvin Love Jr. repeated their performance from last weekend by winning the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints, respectively.
Both of their times fell .01 seconds short of qualifying for regionals.
In Tucson, Jacquelyn Johnson felt like she was at home as she shined in the heptathlon events.
Johnson began her defense of her national title by winning the event in convincing performance.
Her total also qualified her for the NCAA championships.

Water Polo
The Sun Devils came out even in a weekend that featured the freshmen of the women's water polo team.
Behind Addison Doud and her four goals, ASU (11-7, 3-0 MPSF) was able to take down Cal State Northridge 7-5 Saturday afternoon.
The win snapped a three game losing streak for the Sun Devils and was their third conference win of the season, matching last year's total.
The match was back and forth until ASU took a lead in the third quarter after netting three goals. From there they were able to hold on and record the win.
On Sunday, the Sun Devils were unable to make it two in a row as top-ranked USC recorded their 18th win of the season by downing the ASU, 13-6.
Rowie Webster recorded a hat trick but was unable to lead the offense back from an early deficit.
For USC, the win kept them undefeated on the season as they pulled to 6-0 in conference.
