I remember seeing a section last semester in the paper that was a place for students to report broken things that weren't getting taken care of. I don't know if you still do that section or not, but I'd like to report something anyway.
Just to the south side of the Best C dorm, inside of Center Complex, there is a leaky faucet (like one of those places you screw on a hose). It's been leaking all semester long. It was just a drip back in August, but now it's a constant stream. And I've seen what could be small sinkholes forming nearby. There's got to be dozens, if not hundreds, of gallons of water a day leaking out of that thing.
I filed a maintenance request a month or more ago, but it's still broken.

Sen. Cornyn takes an atypical stand
I'd like to encourage The State Press to continue printing columns by politicians ("Put a stop to genetic testing discrimination," Nov. 7).
In a society where politicians so often hide their true views behind "buzz words" for fear of losing votes, it was refreshing to see a senator (Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas) who was willing to give a clear position and his reasoning on an important issue.
Not that I don't appreciate my fellow students' opinions about iPod pornography and breasts, but it was nice to read a column about a political issue of national importance written by someone who is actually involved in the decision-making process.
