Police Beat: Student arrested for yelling at volleyball players


ASU police reported the following incident Monday:

A 19-year-old male ASU student was arrested at The Commons on Apache Sunday morning and charged with disorderly conduct. The man was reportedly upset about the Commons holding a volleyball tournament with "loud music." The man allegedly yelled and swore at a resident assistant and yelled at the people playing volleyball. "I was angry," the man reportedly told police. "I know I could have handled it better."

Tempe police reported the following incident Monday:

A 20-year-old female ASU student was arrested near her residence on the 1800 block of East Kirkland Lane late Friday night. "[She] committed assault by intentionally charging her roommate ... in an aggressive manner," police reported.
