Devil Dish: White Sox claim World Championship

I don't mean to brag, but I told you so.

I told you the Chicago White Sox would dominate the Houston Astros and sweep the World Series.

I also told you the White Sox pitching staff was better.

I said that if you thought Houston's pitching staff was better, then the White Sox would win with small ball, which they did.

In fact, I told you in April that the White Sox would make it to the World Series.

In the end, the White Sox bunted Willie Harris to second and sacrificed him to third. Then Jermaine Dye drove him in with a ground ball up the middle for the series- clinching run, giving the south-siders their first title in 88 years.

I would like to congratulate myself and the White Sox on a terrific 2005 season.

For my next pick, I would like to state that the Cardinals will win by three over the Colts in Super Bowl XL.

Well, maybe that's going too far.

But what might not be too far is a White Sox repeat. Let's just say, you heard it here first.
