ASU police reported the following incidents Thursday:
An 18-year-old male ASU student was arrested late Tuesday night at his room in Sahuaro Hall and charged with possession of marijuana, drugs, alcohol and a fake ID. Police on an activity check in the hall reportedly "overheard the occupants of the room talking about 'shrooms.'" The suspect reportedly allowed police to enter and search his room. Police allegedly found a glass pipe, a substance thought to be marijuana, a marijuana grinder, a two-thirds-full bottle of Bacardi Limon rum and a California driver's license with a false date of birth. The suspect initially said the items did not belong to him, but after being arrested and transported to the ASU police station, he reportedly said, "I want to take responsibility for everything" and claimed ownership of the items.
Four men, all ASU students, were reportedly involved in a fight early in the morning on Sept. 1 at a house on the 600 block of Alpha Drive. Two of the men had been at a party in the house,but were reportedly asked to leave. They allegedly left and re-entered the party twice and were confronted by two fraternity members. "A short fight took place," police reported, but no charges were filed. "None of the parties wanted to aid in prosecution," police reported. "They all apologized to each other."
Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:
A 30-year-old Maricopa, Ariz., man was arrested on the 7600 block of South McClintock Drive Wednesday evening and charged with four counts of selling narcotic drugs. Police said a month long investigation revealed the man had sold cocaine to undercover detectives on Aug. 4, Aug. 11, Aug. 19 and Wednesday.
A 21-year-old Tempe man was arrested at his residence on the 3200 block of South Dorsey Lane Wednesday afternoon and charged with assault. The man allegedly spit in his roommate's face during a verbal altercation. He "also punched [his] roommate in the upper right thigh after [the] roommate pushed [him]," police reported.
