ASU police reported the following incidents Monday:
Two female ASU students, ages 18 and 19, were arrested on the 600 block of Alpha Drive Saturday night and charged with minor possession of alcohol. Police allegedly saw the 19-year-old "holding a half-full open 750 ml bottle of Arbor Mist White Zinfandel." When police approached the woman, she allegedly tried to hand the bottle to friends and reportedly said, "Oh no, don't do this. I am just holding this."
A 27-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested on the north side of Parking Structure 5 Saturday morning and charged with public consumption of alcohol. Police allegedly observed the man take a sip from a Coors Light can. The man reportedly told police, "It's legal to drink in public in Vegas." When an officer informed him public consumption is illegal in Arizona, he reportedly said, "How am I supposed to tailgate if I can't drink in public?"
An 18-year-old female ASU student was arrested for being a minor with alcohol in her body early Saturday morning at the Palo Verde Main residence hall. Police reportedly found the woman "passed out on the floor of her dorm room." The suspect's "roommate and friends stated she was dragged into the hall by fellow Delta Zeta sorority sisters and left," police said. The woman was reportedly awakened by Tempe Fire when ASU police could not wake her. "I drink every night, but I never felt like this," the suspect reportedly told police.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Monday:
Two Teec Nos Pos, Ariz., men were arrested Sunday afternoon on charges of disorderly conduct near Six Shooters Sports Bar and Grill, 705 S. Rural Road. Both men reportedly refused to leave the bar when asked. After refusing to leave, police reported a 37-year-old man "was being disruptive by going nose to nose with patrons both inside and outside the bar." The 37-year-old also allegedly yelled profanities outside the bar.
A 20-year-old male ASU student was arrested early Sunday morning near his residence on the 2300 block of East Apache Boulevard. The man was charged with one count of assault and two counts of threatening.
The man allegedly threatened to kill a male and a female victim with an AK-47. He also allegedly punched the male victim in the face.
A 21-year-old male ASU student was arrested on the 800 block of North Scottsdale Road on charges of DUI.
Police reported the man "drove around 'street closed' signs and then contacted officers for directions."
The suspect reportedly showed signs of alcohol use and impairment, and had a blood-alcohol concentration of .196 when tested.
