McFarlane is a huge fan of Major League Baseball and his sports memorabilia collection shows it. He purchased Mark McGwire's 70th home run baseball for $3 million and Barry Bonds 73rd home run baseball for $450,000.

Being from Canada, McFarlane's love for hockey flows through his veins and his checkbook. He holds a minority ownership of the Edmonton Oilers National Hockey Leauge team and designed the clubs third jersey, the best-selling third jersey in NHL history.

Before McFarlane cleaned up in the comic book industry, he mopped floors while working as a janitor at a comic book store while attending college. Thank goodness he traded in his broom and dustpan for a pen and paper.

Not only is McFarlane a fan of baseball, he was able to live his dream of being a professional baseball player, if only for a moment. He played semi-professional baseball for a Seattle Mariners minor league team with college roommate and friend Al Simmons.

Todd has won some pretty prestigious awards. He's got an Emmy under his belt for his animated series Todd McFarlane's Spawn and won a Grammy for his work on Korn's Freak on a Leash music video.
