On Thursday, ASU junior Ashley Kelly was named to the Pac-10's women's gymnastics team for the third straight year, garnering spots on the all-around and beam teams.
Kelly recently finished third in the all-around at the Pac-10 Championships and tied for first on the beam.
UCLA dominated the field, placing three gymnasts on the six-person all-around team and sweeping the three-person floor and vault categories. The Bruins also placed two gymnasts on the beam and bars.
UCLA's Kristen Maloney was the only gymnast on all five teams.
Track and Field
Forty members of the ASU track and field team are scheduled for a trip to Tucson this weekend for the Arizona International. The meet will be held at UA's Roy P. Drachman Stadium with the first event scheduled to start Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
There are 11 men's and 11 women's events scheduled.
Coach Greg Kraft said the meet would serve as a nice precursor to next weeks' Texas Relays in Austin, which he said could "potentially be a big meet for us."
Water polo
The ASU water polo team will look to end its three-game losing streak with a pair of matches against elite California schools at home this weekend.
The No. 18 Sun Devils open their four-game homestand against No. 1 UCLA tomorrow at noon at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. On Sunday, ASU meets up with UC Santa Barbara at the same time.
The Sun Devils (5-11, 1-4 MPSF) fell to the Bruins 20-8 at the Daktronics/Gaucho Invitational earlier this season.
The Gauchos took the season opener from the Sun Devils 8-7 on Feb. 5.
Tennis
The ASU men's tennis team will have its hands full this weekend with No. 16 Stanford today at the Whiteman Tennis Center in the final weekend of home matches.
ASU is winless in the Pac-10 after dropping a pair of matches last week against USC and UCLA.
Today will mark the second time the teams have faced off this year.
In the first meeting this year on Feb. 12, Stanford took the match 5-2 at the Taube Tennis Center.
The Cardinal are coming off a loss against No. 2 Illinois and are led by Sam Warburg, the country's second-ranked singles player.
On Saturday, ASU will finish their home schedule against California. In their last meeting on Feb. 11, ASU upset California 4-3 in a nonconference match.
Women's basketball
Six members of the ASU women's basketball team were named to the Pac-10's All-Academic team, the second year in a row that the Sun Devils have had six athletes make the squad.
Leading the group was sophomore forward Aubree Johnson, who made the second team.
Making the honorable mention team were seniors guards Carrie Bucker, Kylan Loney and Lauren Staff, freshman guard Jacquelyn Johnson and sophomore forward Emily Westerberg.
