Maybe it's just me, but if I turn on ESPN and see anything else about the New York Yankees or Boston Red Sox, I'm going to be sick.
That's why I'll use this space to discuss the hottest team in baseball.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have won seven straight, including a two-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants and a three-game sweep of the San Diego Padres. All three teams figure to contend for the National League West title. It's clear which team has the upper hand.
The most impressive part about the Dodgers' early success is that Los Angeles is without Adrian Beltre, Shawn Green and Steve Finley, all of whom moved via free agency during the off-season.
As an Arizona Diamondbacks fan, it's difficult for me to tip my hat to any N.L. West opponent, but the Dodgers are on fire. All I keep hearing about is a drunk Red Sox fan who brushed Gary Sheffield in the nose.
Controversy is cool, but I just want to see more baseball and less "expert analysis" of steroids and player-fan encounters.
