Tempe police reported the following incidents Monday:
A 41-year-old transient man was arrested Monday morning at the 1800 block of East Apache Boulevard and charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said the man was stopped for riding his bicycle after dark without a headlamp. The man allegedly consented to being searched. Police allegedly found "a small green plastic bag with white residue." The man allegedly told police the bag had contained methamphetamines.
A 26-year-old man from Mexico was arrested Monday morning at the 1700 block of South Mill Avenue on charges of trespassing and providing false information. Police said the man was allegedly sleeping under the bushes in front of Tempe High School. The man then allegedly gave police an alias. The man was transported to Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge.
ASU police reported the following incidents Monday:
A 48-year-old transient man was arrested outside Cholla Apartments Monday morning when an officer discovered there was a warrant for the man's arrest in Navajo County. The man was released when Navajo County told ASU police they would not transport the man to their jurisdiction on a misdemeanor warrant.
Police responded to a report of theft of a credit card taken from a locker in the Student Recreation Complex on Monday evening. Police said the victim, a 20-year-old ASU student, incurred a loss of $523.44.
