ASU police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
A 20-year-old male ASU student was arrested in Parking Structure 7 early Tuesday morning and charged with false reporting to law enforcement. The suspect and two other males were reportedly contacted and asked for identification while skateboarding in the structure. A records check reported valid identification for two of the males, who were warned and released, but no matching record was found for the 20-year-old.
A 19-year-old female ASU student reported three credit cards were stolen from her purse Monday night at the Student Recreation Complex. The woman reportedly left her purse in an unlocked locker in the women's locker room at the SRC while she made a phone call and worked out.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
Two transient men were arrested on the 200 block of East Seventh Street early Wednesday morning. A 19-year-old man was charged with burglary after police reported he allegedly "enter[ed] an open window and was found wearing ASU clothing which belonged to the warehouse for the Student Book Center." Police reported the value of the clothing was about $170.
A 31-year-old man was charged with trespassing after he was allegedly found hiding behind boxes in the Student Book Center warehouse. Police reported the man "admitted he unlawfully entered and remained to keep out of the cold." The man was also charged with giving false information to law enforcement because he allegedly identified himself using a false last name and birth date.
A 35-year-old transient man was arrested at a residence located near the intersection of Scottsdale and Curry roads early Tuesday morning and charged with criminal trespassing and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police and a homeowner allegedly found the man in the backyard of the residence. The homeowner reportedly saw the man looking into the back door of the house. A search allegedly revealed a bag of marijuana in the man's pants pocket. A search of the property also reportedly revealed a jacket with syringes in the pocket that the man allegedly indicated was his.
