Police Beat: Shattered Honda Civic


Tempe police reported the following incidents Monday:

A 23-year-old Tempe man was arrested Sunday and charged with burglary near the 1200 block of West Grove Parkway. The suspect allegedly was seen in the driver's seat of a Honda Civic that had its driver's side window shattered. Police allegedly observed the man with the car's radio in his hands as they arrived and reported discovered burglary tools on his person.

A 43-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Saturday near the 2000 block of East Orange Street and charged with aggravated DUI and hit and run. Police said the woman was under the influence of alcohol while driving her Ford F150 with her 12-year-old daughter in the truck when she collided with a Dodge Ram. The suspect allegedly left the scene without giving any notification or information to the other driver.

A 22-year-old Tempe man was arrested Friday and charged with domestic violence assault near the 1200 block of West University Drive. Police said the suspect's ex-girlfriend had brought their children over to stay with him when the suspect demanded to take her to a hotel. The two got into an argument after they entered the man's car, and the man allegedly bit the woman's face.
