Devil Dish: X-Mas bball looks more like boxing card

I'd like to wish everybody an early merry Christmas, because Dec. 25 may not be too merry on the basketball court.

The Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers will renew their now infamous rivalry on that day when Detroit heads to Indiana for what will likely be one of the most anticipated games of the season.

Ron Artest probably won't be there, and, pending appeals, neither will Jermaine O'Neal or Stephen Jackson, but expect the Indiana fans to give Ben Wallace an earful when he steps on the court.

The intensity won't stop there, as the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat will follow that game with a rendezvous in Los Angeles where old friends Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant meet up. It will be Shaq's first time back at Staples Center since the team shipped him away to build around Kobe.

Yep, nothing says merriment like watching four teams that hate each other duke it out on Christmas Day.
