Police Beat: Rat-tat-tat-tat of my pump-action gat

ASU police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A 33-year-old man was allegedly assaulted with a BB gun on Oct. 20 at Cholla Apartments on Rural Road. The victim reportedly was cleaning the west side of the complex's pool when he heard the sound of an automatic air gun, and then felt several BBs hitting his left shoulder blade. About 15 minutes later, the man allegedly moved to the north side of the pool and was hit again on his right leg. He heard more shots as he was leaving about 25 minutes later, but the BBs hit the metal gate around the pool, he said. ASU police reportedly have no witnesses, suspects or leads.

Tempe police released the following reports Wednesday:

A 29-year-old transient man was arrested Wednesday on a charge of trespassing after he was found sitting on a sofa and watching TV inside a closed and locked laundry facility near the 100 block of University Drive. Police said the man claimed he came in through an unlocked door, but all doors were locked. The man reportedly was not doing any laundry.
