Devil Dish: Curse not reversed

So much has been made lately of the Boston Red Sox finally reversing the dreaded 'Curse of the Bambino' with their miraculous comeback against the Yankees. And although the win was thrilling and improbable, it doesn't mean Boston's work is done.

If I'm not mistaken, the curse refers to how the Red Sox haven't won a World Series in 86 years, not how long it's been since they've beaten the Yanks in a League Championship Series.

And so much was taken out of them -- mentally and physically -- against New York, that I don't think they have enough left in the tank to win the Series.

Schilling is hurt, Pedro isn't the Pedro of old, and the bullpen was severely taxed against the Yankees.

Sorry Sox fans, but I think the magic is all used up.
