The ASU men's golf team is looking for its first team win of the season as it heads to Saticoy, Calif., to take part in the Pepperdine Intercollegiate today and Tuesday.
The Sun Devils are coming off a sixth-place finish in their last tournament and were led by senior Jesse Mueller who finished in a tie for third.
This tournament serves as a tune-up for head coach Randy Lein as he looks to find the right mix of players for the spring season.
UA football player shot: A UA freshman football player was shot at an off-campus party early Sunday morning. Sheldon Watts was in critical condition at a Tucson hospital after being shot around 2 a.m. at an eastside home, said Sgt. Marco Barboa, a Tucson police spokesman.
Investigators said a disagreement occurred between some partygoers inside the house and continued outside, where someone started firing gunshots, Barboa said.
Detectives said they have no indication that Watts, of Fresno, Texas, was involved.
Watts was at the party with three other redshirt players, who police are not identifying.
Bulger comes through for St. Louis: Marc Bulger threw a 52-yard touchdown pass to former Sun Devil Shaun McDonald less than three minutes into overtime, leading the St. Louis Rams to a 33-27 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
The Rams (3-2) ended Seattle's 10-game home winning streak, with Bulger leading a 17-point rally by throwing two TD passes in the final 5:34 of regulation.
