Police Beat: Electric Urine


ASU police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

An 18-year-old ASU student was arrested Thursday on charges of being a public nuisance after police alleged he urinated on an electrical box near the 600 block of Alpha Drive. According to police, the suspect said he was going to a fraternity party and couldn't wait to use the restroom.

A 20-year-old ASU student was arrested and cited for reckless driving Saturday after he allegedly struck an ASU police vehicle in Lot 57. Police alleged the man was speeding and hit the police car as he attempted to pull over into a parking space behind him.

A 19-year-old ASU student was arrested Saturday near the 600 block of Alpha Drive and cited for allegedly being in possession of alcohol. Police say the minor got out of a car and headed toward a fraternity house with a 750- milliliter bottle of Finlandia Vodka and a bottle of Alize Red Passion Cognac.

Members of a fraternity house at 606 Alpha Dr. waved down police Friday night. According to police, the vice president of the house said there was a group of people "drinking, being loud and causing problems" in the parking lot. According to police, the group in the parking lot said they were Scottsdale Community College football players. Police arrested a 21-year-old man in the group and charged him with consuming alcohol in public after he reportedly put a large bottle of Heineken beer to his lips and drank. Before being arrested the suspect reportedly said, "It's beer, but I'm 21."
