ASU East's FarmHouse Fraternity and Sigma Alpha Sorority held their annual Fall Rush Week last week. Greek Life is one of many dimensions that are still developing on East campus.
Both organizations were looking for men and women who wanted to get more involved with campus, meet new friends and share common goals.
"We learn about what it's like to be a woman in the workforce, and also how important it is to give back to our community," said Danielle Garrett, president of Sigma Alpha Sorority and agribusiness marketing senior.
"Sigma Alpha builds character through professional development, philanthropy and sisterhood," Garrett said. The sorority also offers scholarships, leadership, service and fellowships for its members.
The FarmHouse Fraternity tries to distinguish itself from other fraternities. "Our fraternity believes in building the whole man," said Brian Hogue, FarmHouse president.
