Tempe police reported the following incidents Sunday:
A 19-year-old Glendale man was arrested on charges of possession of burglary tools near the intersection of First Street and Farmer Avenue. After a traffic stop, the subject and driver were identified as suspects in a prior burglary. Upon inspection, police found tools commonly used for burglary as well as several car stereos, speakers, amplifiers and CD cases.
A 21-year-old Tempe man was arrested on charges of assault, domestic violence and criminal damage near the 1100 block of West Broadway Road. An investigation revealed that after an argument, his roommate went into his room to avoid further confrontation. The subject allegedly kicked down the door and ran into the room, swinging with closed fists. The roommate retreated until cornered and then fought his way out of the room, hitting the subject about four times.
A 45-year-old transient man was arrested on charges of public consumption of alcohol near the intersection of Scottsdale and Curry roads. Police contacted him after complaints were made that he was throwing dirt and grass at passing cars. He was drinking from a 24-ounce container of Steel Reserve Malt Liquor.
An 18-year-old Tempe woman was arrested on charges of criminal damage and domestic violence near the 5000 block of South Hardy Drive. She allegedly kicked four holes in the wall after an argument with her roommate. She also punched another person in the right eye. The victim declined to press charges.
