Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:
A 27-year-old Phoenix man was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct near the 1700 block of South Rural Road. He allegedly was engaged in a fight after throwing a soda at another vehicle. He fled on foot, then was caught and arrested.
A 21-year-old Tempe man was arrested on a charge of assault and domestic violence near the 1100 block of West University Drive. He allegedly pushed his live-in girlfriend onto a couch by grabbing her around the mouth and nose. She was able to get to her feet and then he allegedly struck her with a closed fist. She had a swollen bruise on the left side of her forehead. She also had a scratch above her lip.
A 20-year-old transient man was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia near the 700 block of South Mill Avenue. He was observed by police officers handing a piece of paper containing what was believed to be marijuana to another subject. Police found a ceramic pipe containing a substance believed to be marijuana on his person.
A 41-year-old transient man was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and false reporting to police near the 1300 block of South River Drive. Police allegedly found a baggie with white residue and syringe in plain view in the center of his vehicle. He also lied to police several times about his name, date of birth and social security number.
ASU police reported the following incidents Thursday:
Unknown persons committed criminal damage to an elevator in Manzanita Hall by smearing feces all over the control panel and the emergency call box. Total estimated damage is $600.
A vending machine was burglarized at the Engineering A-wing. Estimated loss is $304.75.
A digital camera belonging to ASU was stolen from the Tempe Center. Estimated loss is $800.
