Nintendo announced the development of a dual-screen portable video game system, dubbed the Nintendo DS, on Monday.
It will feature two 3-inch TFT LCD screens, separate processors for each screen, and up to one gigabit of memory. It should be released by the end of the year.
According to Nintendo, gamer's should be able to continue playing while checking out maps or moving from a wide to close up shot.
No pictures were made immediately available but additional features will be released at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in May.
With competition coming later this year from Sony, the handheld gaming market should get very interesting.
