Police Beat: Public urination, open booze, littering in one


Tempe police reported the following incidents on Tuesday:

A 46-year-old Phoenix man was arrested near the 800 block of South Hardy Drive on charges of trespass after he failed to leave Circle K after being asked five times to leave.

A 33-year-old Tempe man was arrested near the 900 block of East Broadway Road on charges of shoplifting after he reportedly concealed property in his pants and left Safeway without paying.

A 41-year-old transient man was arrested near the intersection of Apache Boulevard and Elm Street on charges of urinating in public, criminal littering and public consumption after officers reportedly saw him urinate on a trash can, drink from an open container of alcohol and toss a brown paper bag on the ground within three feet of the trash can on which he had urinated.
