Police Beat: Don't spray-paint your mother's house


Tempe police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A 20-year-old Tempe woman was arrested near the intersection or Rural and Terrace roads on charges of DUI after she reportedly was stopped for driving without headlights and making an improper turn. Her blood-alcohol-content reportedly was measured at .200.

A 25-year-old Tempe man was arrested near the 600 block of South Hardy Drive on charges of disorderly conduct after he reportedly pounded on his front door and demanded that his wife let him in.

A 19-year-old Tempe woman was arrested near the 2300 block of East Loma Vista Drive on charges of criminal damage after she reportedly spray-painted a garage door, tires and boxes at her mother's house.

A 31-year-old Tempe man was arrested near the 200 block of East Baseline Road on charges of criminal damage after he reportedly punched a hole in his girlfriend's door, then kicked it off its hinges.

A 36-year-old Tempe man was arrested near the 1500 block of East Weathervane Drive on charges of aggravated DUI. The man reportedly drove off with his daughter in the car following an argument with his ex-wife.

ASU police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A bicycle reportedly was stolen from the north side of the Memorial Union. Total estimated loss is $500.

A bicycle reportedly was stolen from Wells Fargo Arena. Total estimated loss is $90.

A purse reportedly was stolen from Sun Devil Stadium. Total estimated loss is $40.

A cell phone reportedly was stolen from the Sigma Pi Fraternity house. The victim reportedly called her cell phone when she realized it was missing and an unknown man answered it. Total estimated loss is $100.

A door to a room in Cholla Apartments reportedly was broken. Total estimated damage is $100.

A paper towel dispenser reportedly was damaged in the Computing Commons. The dispenser reportedly appeared to be hit and knocked off the wall. Total estimated loss is $50.

Newspaper stands for The State Press, La Voz and TV y Mas reportedly were damaged in front of the Manzanita coffee shop. Total estimated loss is $25.
