Police Beat: Doin' it on the steps of city hall


The Tempe police reported the following incident Sunday:

A 25-year-old Phoenix woman was arrested at Arizona Mills Mall for allegedly trying to shoplift two bags of merchandise from a Linen 'n' Things store with another man. When police confronted her, she reportedly gave a false name to officers.

The Tempe police reported the following incidents Saturday:

A 25-year-old Tempe man was arrested at the 700 block of West Grove Parkway on charges of disorderly conduct after he allegedly threw his girlfriend's belongings off a first floor balcony.

A 20-year-old Peoria man was arrested at the 400 block of South Mill Avenue for allegedly playing a pornographic video in his car. The video was reportedly visible to the public within 25-feet of his car.

A 22-year old Tucson woman was arrested near Fifth Street and Mill Avenue on the charges of public sexual indecency. Officers and witnesses reportedly saw the woman having sexual intercourse with a 27-year-old Scottsdale man, who was also arrested, on the lawn in front of Tempe City Hall. A crowd of seven people reportedly gathered to watch.
