Police Beat: A family feud


The Tempe police reported the following incident Saturday:

A 39-year-old Mesa man was arrested on the charge of burglary at the 1500 block of West Juanita Circle. The man allegedly entered his ex-wife's apartment without her permission and reportedly took a television. He reportedly took the television to his neighbor's home for safe keeping and said he took it as collateral for the $120 his ex-wife allegedly owes him.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and criminal damage at the 900 block of South Priest Drive. The man allegedly damaged the door to his brother's apartment after he reportedly tried to strike his brother in the face with a bicycle chain and missed. He also reportedly shattered a window in the apartment.

The Tempe police reported the following incident Sunday:

A 29-year-old Tempe man was arrested on the charge of assault at the 1100 block of West Magdalena Drive. The man reportedly chest butted his brother and then punched him in the face.
