Two ASU students were arrested by Tempe police on suspected drug charges in their Hayden Hall dorm room yesterday.

Biology sophomores Daniel and Edward "Julian" Wedge, twin brothers and roommates, were served a warrant and subsequently arrested at their residence hall.

"Tempe police and ASU did serve a search warrant at that location, and they did take those people into custody," said Sgt. Dan Masters. "No charges have been filed. It will be an ongoing investigation with the County attorney."

Masters, public information officer for Tempe police, said it could take several months for formal charges to be filed because the Department of Public Safety is required to test and verify what was found.

"With the vast majority of people arrested, they are booked and released pending charges," Masters said.

One eyewitness said she saw about 10 uniformed officers in the area arresting the duo and wheeling out several plastic containers.
