Cheryl McGaffic, shot and killed Monday at age 44, was a clinical associate professor of nursing at the UA College of Nursing. She has been associated with UA since she received her undergraduate degree from the university in 1980. She taught courses in ethics, critical nursing and death and dying in the graduate and undergraduate programs in the College of Nursing. McGaffic has worked in the nursing profession for 21 years in critical care and holistic nursing practice. She completed several research studies, examining the relationships among spirituality, health and the meaning of life and death for elders and adults who are chronically or terminally ill. She was also a volunteer chaplain at University Medical Center. |
Barbara Monroe, shot and killed Monday at age 45, was a clinical assistant professor of nursing at the UA College of Nursing. She joined the UA College of Nursing faculty in 2001; prior to that she taught at the University of Phoenix and also had worked at the UA University Medical Center as a clinical nurse educator in critical care. |
Robin Rogers, shot and killed Monday at age 50, was a clinical assistant professor of nursing at the UA College of Nursing. She joined the faculty at the College of Nursing in 1996. She taught undergraduate courses such as acute care in pediatrics, health experiences of human systems and care provider across the life span. She taught graduate courses such as evaluating assessment skills for nurse practitioners. She had served in the United States Air Force as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. |
