ASASU set to ask for Buck's resignation

The Associated Students of ASU is planning to take action against Executive Vice President Brian Buck tomorrow in the first senate meeting of the fall semester.

According to an inside source, who asked to be unnamed, the senate will ask for Buck's resignation during Tuesday night's meeting.

Should Buck not comply with the legislation the senate will proceed with impeachment procedures as designated by the ASASU bylaws.

Buck has made national headlines since being featured in a pornographic video, filmed at his fraternity, Sigma Nu.

Dan Moody, Associated Students of ASU Government Relations Director said if no action is taken against Buck at tomorrow night's meeting, he would spear head a recall initiative.

"Brian Buck's actions since he's been in office with the press and bringing us into the national spotlight have hurt my abilities as director to effectively lobby on behalf of the students," Moody said. "The state Legislature is going to be saying 'oh you're the school that has that guy that made the porno in your student government'."

The senate meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. of the Alumni Lounge Room 202 of the Memorial Union.
