Police Beat


Tempe police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

• A 42-year-old Tempe man was arrested on the 700 block of South Hardy Drive for possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and assault. He was accused of punching and kicking his live-in girlfriend. A records check showed that he had an outstanding felony warrant and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. He was released from jail pending a scientific analysis of the marijuana.

• Police arrested a 44-year-old Tempe woman for assault on the 1100 block of Redfield Road after she grabbed a PVC pipe and struck her husband on the hand and shoulder. She also had a knife that her 13-year-old son took away from her.

• A 24-year-old Mesa man was arrested on the 1900 block of East Apache Boulevard for misconduct involving a weapon when he was found to have a loaded gun under the seat of his car without a holster. He had three outstanding warrants.
