The Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football welcomed another former ASU Sun Devil to its team last week as they signed wide receiver Devin Lucien.
Lucien spent his last year of college eligibility at ASU in 2015 after four seasons with the UCLA Bruins. In his lone campaign in Tempe, he compiled 66 catches for 1,075 yards and eight touchdowns.
His shining moment as a Sun Devil came in a win against UA where he caught nine passes for 190 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown reception. The performance earned him the Bob Moran Territorial Cup Game MVP award.
In 2016, Lucien was selected by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. He was ultimately waived before the season and has yet to appear in an NFL regular season game.
Now a member of the Hotshots, Lucien will once again take the field at Sun Devil Stadium when the AAF kicks off in February.
He will join ex-ASU teammates Mike Bercovici, Demario Richard and D.J. Calhoun, along with other notable former Sun Devils Will Sutton, Carl Bradford and Marcus Hardison.
