ASU football redshirt sophomore quarterback Brady White is out for the season, head coach Todd Graham announced Monday.

The Sun Devils (5-1, 2-1 Pac-12) now have three injured quarterbacks, including redshirt freshman Bryce Perkins (neck injury) and redshirt sophomore Manny Wilkins — the No. 1 ASU signal caller — who was hurt in ASU's 41-20 loss to USC on Oct. 1.

Freshman Dillon Sterling-Cole threw only one pass (intercepted by UCLA sophomore defensive back Adarius Pickett) in his debut once White left the field with 11:05 to go in the fourth quarter Saturday.

"We think we've got a good chance to get Manny back," Graham said. "He's working towards that. We're getting Dillon ready."

White needed crutches to get off the field and go back to the locker room, while Wilkins wore a boot and did not dress for Saturday's game. Graham called Wilkins's injury "a minor deal" and the Sun Devils are planning to have him practice by Thursday.

Graham said his emergency quarterbacks, "for depth purposes" are freshman wide receiver Jack Smith and redshirt sophomore safety Coltin Gerhart.

After setting an FBS record for made field goals in Saturday's 23-20 win over UCLA, senior kicker Zane Gonzalez was named Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time, and redshirt junior linebacker Marcus Ball (who led ASU with 10 tackles and an interception) was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week.

Graham has addressed "finding the right balance" in the secondary often this season, adding that Ball's presence helped the unit with sophomore cornerback Kareem Orr leaving the game in the first quarter, and redshirt senior cornerback De'Chavon "Gump" Hayes out in the fourth quarter to due to cramps.

"I felt they did a great job," Graham said. "Even though there were some plays that we would have liked to eliminate, I thought we had some nice tackles. I thought we did some nice things there, we got takeaways and did the things that we need to do."

Graham said freshman defensive back Robbie Robinson has stepped up and been a key contributor in ASU's nickel package, adding "he's done a great job for us all year," including an interception off of UCLA backup quarterback Mike Fafaul with less than a minute to play to seal the Sun Devil victory.

An accomplishment that went under the radar due to Gonzalez's milestone was junior running back Demario Richard surpassing 2,000 career rushing yards after going for 62 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown Saturday.

"He makes some incredible runs," Graham said of Richard. "He's a warrior at running back, he's really been consistent and he's a guy that I don't mention that I probably should mention more. It's very stabling having a guy like him at running back."
