Tempe Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

A Queen Creek male was arrested on April 3 on Rural Road and Minton Drive on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and possessing marijuana, dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.

Officers were called to the scene after a man was seen asleep behind the wheel of a parked car on the side of the road with the engine still running, officers reported.

When officers approached the car and knocked on the window, the man was unresponsive, and firefighters were called to the scene to unlock the door, according to the report.

When the door was opened, officers noticed a strong smell of marijuana, and upon searching the vehicle officers found three mason jars filled with marijuana, police reported.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.

A Phoenix male was arrested April 9 on the 1700 block of Apache Blvd on suspicion of giving a false report to law enforcement and failing to register as a sex offender, according to the report.

Officers were called to the scene after a man was seen loitering outside a business, officer reported.

When officers approached the man, he gave them a false name and birthday, offering another person’s social security number, according to the report.

After the man was detained he gave officers his name, officers reported.

Officers also saw that the man was a sex offender, but he failed to have identification on him because the man said it expired in February, according to the report.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.
