Tempe police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A 40-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Feb. 6 on the 1900 block of East Rio Salado Parkway on suspicion of reckless assault, shoplifting and dangerous drug and paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.

The woman had grabbed three perfume containers from a shelf inside a JCPenney and hid the items in her clothing, police reported.

She placed one container inside her bra, one inside a shift pocket and one in her arms underneath a jacket, according to the report.

The perfume containers consisted of two Juicy Couture bottles and one L’Homme, police reported.

After security guards attempted to stop the woman as she walked out the store’s doors, the woman punched one guard in the face and bit his hand, according to the report.

As she pushed officers away with her left hand, she attempted to hide an envelope of what was later identified as meth in her butt crack, police reported.

The woman was transported to Tempe City Jail, where she was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.

A 34-year-old Tempe man was arrested Feb. 6 on the 1700 block of East Broadway Road on suspicion of trespassing and dangerous drug possession, according to a police report.

Police located the man inside a women’s bathroom, where they said they smelled smoke and a “foot smell,” police reported.

The man said he did not live in the complex, but when police asked him to leave the area, he stood in place for 10 seconds, according to the report.

After officers attempted to detain the man, he ran away and dropped his black jacket, police reported.

During a search, officers found a small baggy of a white crystalline substance in the jacket’s left pocket, according to the report.

The man said he did not understand his rights, police reported.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.
