In a clash of two of the nation's elite special teams units, the No. 4 Utes took a 14-10 lead into the locker room at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City Saturday night.

Utah punter Tom Hackett and ASU punter Matt Haack, as well as Utah kicker Andy Phillips and ASU kicker Zane Gonzalez have been among the steadiest at their position in the conference.

On a chilly 59 degree night, redshirt junior Tim White seized an opportunity to give the Sun Devils a spark in the return game.

The speedy wide receiver returned a kick 100 yards for a touchdown with 4:42 to go in the first quarter to tie the game after Utah quarterback Travis Wilson led the Utes on a seven play, 69-yard touchdown drive that spanned nearly four minutes of game time, capped by a two-yard pass to Harrison Handley.

A 34-yard Zane Gonzalez field goal with 2:18 to go in the quarter gave ASU a 10-7 lead, its first of the half.

The Utes struck back with 13:49 in the second, as Wilson commandeered another effective drive and ended an eight-play, 75-yard series with an 11-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Kenneth Scott to go ahead 14-10.

The Sun Devils have the option to receive the second half kickoff.
