Goaltender Jaxon Castor, a Phoenix native, announced via Twitter on Tuesday night that he has committed to play hockey at ASU in 2017 or 2018.

Castor played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the United States Hockey League, where he was drafted in the second round with the No. 28 overall pick.
Before that, he played with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes' U16 and U18 teams. In U16, he played in 23 games, averaging 3.35 goals allowed. And at the U18 level, he allowed an average of 3.73 goals over 18 games.
In addition to last year's starting goaltender, now-junior Robert Levin, Sun Devil hockey has two more on its 2015-2016 roster—freshman Ryland Pashovitz and David Jacobson.
Correction:An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that Jaxon Castor is a 2016 commit. He will join the program in either 2017 or 2018.
